I was originally born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to Florida at the age of six. Growing up with the internet, I spent years teaching myself graphic design and database analysis as well as web based programming.
Upon graduating high school in 2001, I joined the United States Marine Corps and became a Human Resource Assistant and eventual manager. I received my first Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my consistant work ethic and ability to see a project through no matter the hours or self sacrifice required.
I deployed in 2004 where I received the Humanitarian Service Medal in support of the Indian Ocean Tsunami Relief Efforts to the Island of Sumatra in Indonesia. In 2005 I was deployed to Kuwait and Southern Iraq during the initial Iraqi elections receiving my second Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in lieu of a Gold Star for my achievements in the combat environment.
Upon my return I reenlisted once more and entered the Logistical Maintenance Management field where I’ve remained since and have flourished in my organizational and management skills. I deployed in 2006 to the Al-Anbar Province of Iraq near the northern border with Syria for 12 months and recieved my third Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my work as a Logisitical Supervisor and contactor liaison while having to work closely with both American, Turkish and Iraqi contractors in construction efforts.
I eventually married and settled down in San Diego, California but was sent for one final overseas tour in Okinawa, Japan for 13 months where I worked closely with Logistical Higher Brass of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force and was given a chance to work on Data Analysis projects. I assisted as an Analyst in gathering much needed information for the Commanding General’s Logistical Brief as well as ran the day to day supervisory operations of such programs as the Combat Ready Storage Program, Corrosion Prevention and Control Program and the Depot Level Maintenance Program.
My favorite task was the creation of a Database that could upload large amounts of maintenance information processed daily from all of the Marine Units in Okinawa and Hawaii and have it instantly find every and all mistakes along with a detailed profile of what the problem was, the impact it had on the command as a whole and the solution they needed to implent in order to fix it.
Upon my return to San Diego at the beginning of February 2009 I will be leaving the Marine Corps to enter the civilian sector where I plan to do Analytical as a Manager in the Logistical and Supply Industry.
